Wrap

Cut a narrow strip of paper long enough to wrap comfortably around your finger.

Fit

Wrap it around the base of the finger where your ring will naturally sit. Keep it comfortably close to the skin — secure, but not tight.

Measure

Mark the exact point where the paper overlaps. Lay it flat against a ruler and measure from the end of the paper to your mark in millimetres (mm).
